Back in the day, it used to be virtually impossible to find out what was going on in clubs and bars on the internet. Then, one night during the dot com craze, a DJ and a programmer were having drinks at an Atlanta bar and came up with the idea of creating an online nightlife community with a searchable calendar that would have up-to-the-minute info on what to do around town. As they talked about the possibilities, they figured, everyone always calls us to ask us what is going on in town, so why not make it easier for everyone and put it online. It sure would save some mobile minutes this way at the least! The trio set out to provide a trusted source of online information about underground (thus the U in UMIX) events, venues, and music.

7 years later, UMIX has expanded from its original home in Atlanta, and now services NYC and LA as well. UMIX encompasses everything from club events, to cool restaurants, to the best in shopping/retail. And on top of that, UMIX has a killer rewards program that is as unique as it is gracious.
